started tiling new hotel yesterday , over 100 rooms in total , old grade 2 listed building, greens star addy all walls skimed wet areas green star i voiced my concerns, to the tiling contractor but was told at the price we went in to get the job cant afford ought else , it will be fine , we allways use green star
well what could i say im not doing myself out of this much work ,

cant wait to see the grout probs flour and water

Ive just used 2 tubs of it today, the customer insisted that they get the adhesive.

Any idea what its like drying? As I cant see it going off well....ever lol.

I believe if it is applied correctly the drying time is ok, however, have heard that BAL recommend 3 days drying time, so in most cases, not worth the bother

needs must eh rob? i'll be in the same boat on thursday, i'm starting some new builds (social housing) so it'll all be cheap as chips i guess.

Going to try move jobs about so I can grout in a couple of days. Could have been finished today if they had let me buy adhesive. With what theyve probably paid for BAL I think letting me get it would be cheaper.

We use a lot of greenstar with one builder, we are labour only, When i started working for them i used to voice my concerns but they stated "its our responsibility if it goes wrong"

I wouldnt use it in a shower though as its not a D2 addy.

On a plus note i tile with a 6mm notch & believe me try & get those tiles off after 24hrs + & your plasterboard is coming with it. It sticks like the proverbial.

I used to use white and blue star a lot (before I saw the light) and as far as tubbed gear goes it's not bad stuff, I do think green is only really suitable for kitchen splashies but, BAL claim it's fine for intermittent wet areas so we'll take their word for it.

would save more using Weber spf rapid (white) and pr360 primer at current prices more coverage and a faster drying time and far superior addy.
