Time's Ran Out

Hey, you didn't do your homework before hand when choosing this 'tiler' to do your job so don't expect much sympathy from professionals on here.

Yes, we may offer you advice on how to resolve the issue but you must hold your hand up and admit you goofed too. That way you may find you may get much more sensitive help.

We are not pro's for nothing - as my Dad said, 'you can't buy experience, you earn it son.'

The OP came for help and advice!
As a professional I sympathise when customers get contractors in and end up with shoddy work. It's very easy to have hindsight and easier again to criticise.
I'am having a Nice day!

Its the front entry with a step down into the living room.

I glued and screwed plywood down for a subfloor under the tiles, its pretty solid.
I'm not sure what to say.

Are you going to try and repair it? Or are you considering getting a professional in?

Your best repair might be to make some sort of L-strip out of metal and screw it over the lot to cap it off. Maybe? It's not going to look brilliant thought.

He said he was good at tiling? Just imagine if he wasn't, you could have ended up with a really bad job.

On a serious note, does the rest of his work compliment his tiling or was that acceptable, making you believe that his tiling would also be of a good standard?

Have a look at this link for Schluter stair nosings. I've even put the Canadian site for you ;)

Schluter®-TREP-G/-GK | Slip-resistant Treads | For Stairs | Profiles | schluter.ca - http://www.schluter.ca/schluter-ca/en_CA/Profiles/For-Stairs/Slip-resistant-Treads/Schluter®-TREP-G--GK/p/TREP_G

This may cover the offending edging, it just depends on how straight the tiles have been fixed

Good luck
