Soooo in theory , bigger bays could be laid without joints as it will allow for more lateral stress...


Now IMO 7mm deep , the point load compression , as in squashing it whilst tiling/kneeling must be an issue..

i think the idea is more vertical strength so you can go straight on small chipboard floors ect keeping the height to a minimun
