Black Quartz tiles

Evening gents,

Superb site with a tonne of wealth, really opens my eyes to the world of tiling.

I'm currently in the process of ordering 35m2 300x300 of "Midnight Black Quartz" from buytiles.com - has any one used this website before?

I'm being quoted £1750 for 35m2 AND DELIVERY TO Ireland; roughly £350 delivery.

I recall placing a few boxes of tiles in the boot of my car a few years ago and the car ended up on the back wheels.

Has any one ever dealt with the above company or have any experience? Can't find any info on them from the net.

I asked if the tiles were of good quality as BTB bought them from the company where I got a quote from.

No point in getting tiles at a good price if the quality is poor.

Buytiles.com is another sideline of Tiles Porcelain.

There have been a few threads on here referencing the quality of the quartz from TP.

Great, figured they might be too good to be true

Are the issues with these tiles down to underground heating or are they in general crap? I don't plan on using underground heating..

I think they have bowed due to the UFH heating and the fact they are a cheap resin.

After looking at samples of Crystalstone, they aren't great quality. There are definitely better quality tiles out there for a little bit more money.

Cheapest quartz I've found in Dublin is €200 per m2, nearly €4,000 in the difference. Quality could be different though 🙂

I work for Tile Giant and we sell Marmol Compac Quartz tiles. They are the Rolls Royce of quartz tiles, but obviously cost a lot more. Cosmo Quartz Bathroom Tiles
