seal

The United States Navy Sea, Air, and Land (SEAL) Teams, commonly known as Navy SEALs, are the U.S. Navy's primary special operations force and a component of the Naval Special Warfare Command. Among the SEALs' main functions are conducting small-unit special operation missions in maritime, jungle, urban, arctic, mountainous, and desert environments. SEALs are typically ordered to capture or to eliminate high level targets, or to gather intelligence behind enemy lines. All active SEALs are male and members of the U.S. Navy. The CIA's highly secretive and elite Special Operations Group (SOG) recruits operators from SEAL Teams, with joint operations going back to the MACV-SOG during the Vietnam War. This cooperation still exists today, as evidenced by military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.

    Travertine - Re-sealing and 'polishing'

Just been asked to re-seal a travertine tiled bathroom - I tend to avoid this sort of job like the plague but with the way things are at the moment I don't think its commercially wise to turn anything down. Anyway I've never done any resealing so am a bit out of my comfort zone. I'm assuming...

    Shower Cubicle Grouting/Sealing Question

When grouting a shower cubicle, I understand that the corner wall joints and shower tray joints should be sealed with silicone. Should these joints be grouted first and then sealed with silicone, or should they be left grout-free and the whole joint be made with silicone?

How long to wait before sealing new grout?

How long to wait before sealing new grout? Cementuous colour grout, 2mm joints, nothing unusual. Sealer is solvent based, rather than water based, if that makes a difference. Area is a kitchen backsplash, and so I would like to seal sooner rather than later to avoid any fatty/oily residue from...

Problem with white silicon seal - parts of it have turned pink!

Can anyone on this forum please help? Part of the beautiful white silicon seal around my bath has turned pink! Can anyone suggest what I could do to remedy this, short of replacing the seal (which I'm loathe to do since its only 2 months old). Any helpful suggestions would be gratefully received.
