cut
In graph theory, a cut is a partition of the vertices of a graph into two disjoint subsets. Any cut determines a cut-set, the set of edges that have one endpoint in each subset of the partition. These edges are said to cross the cut. In a connected graph, each cut-set determines a unique cut, and in some cases cuts are identified with their cut-sets rather than with their vertex partitions.
In a flow network, an s–t cut is a cut that requires the source and the sink to be in different subsets, and its cut-set only consists of edges going from the source's side to the sink's side. The capacity of an s–t cut is defined as the sum of the capacity of each edge in the cut-set.
Hia,
Just wondered if anyone has any advice about laying laser cut mosaic floor tiles?
I've worked with glass and ceramic mosaic with a meshed backing before but from looking on the internet they look like they come with a template.
Any tips would be much appreciated
Cheers
Jeff

Hi all,
When I have wet or dry cut some of my tiles, I've tended to bevel off the sharp edge with a grinder usually around doorways where there is a slight difference in levels between one area and another, thought it looked better and safer on the toes
Is this good practise ?
Hiya,
We bought a wet cutter because we are using really large thick tiles in our bathroom.
It's perfect for straight lines, however the instructions that it comes with does not make it clear how to cut curves. It just says to lift the wet guard and use the top of the saw to cut the corner...

I thought it would be a good point of reference to create a register of all the known types/makes of porcelain that will not cut well on manual tile cutters (veers off score line). You end up having to wet cut the lot, causing loss of earnings due the the increased time it takes.
I will start...
Could anyone offer guidance to a capable DIYer on cutting granite tiles please?
I COULD use my B&D 4in Angle grinder with a diamond disc but I really want something to produce absolutely straight cuts to make upstands for the skirting. A bit less dust would be welcome, too!

Hi,
I have a job coming up which is a Terracotta floor and I need to know the best way to do the cuts, never having worked with Terracotta before.
I was advised by one person that I should either use a wet cutter but without water or use a hand saw because the use of water would cause staining...
