I just advise customer on size of skip they will need.

i have a licence in the window of my van that allows me to take my own waste to the tip in my van, now if i need to take any trade waste then ,i tell a porky 😛rrr: if asked . but i think it is wrong not to allow building waste in the tips, that is what the tip is there for , not laybys, and farm field entry's, this will encourage fly tipping IMO

I have a job coming up for an elderly couple. The fella asked me if I could supply the tiles as he has had to surrender his licence due to age and health and can't get to any tile shops. I have to remove 2 layers of tiles from the kitchen walls so will need a skip or hippo bag. There is no front garden and only residents street parking in front of the house with no vehicle access to rear, so I will need to get a licence from the council to dump a skip etc there. To save the couple money I was hoping to place the skip in the car park of a commercial customer jut round the corner but that's a no go. I thought about placing the skip on my drive and moving the waste at the end of the day to fill the skip at home but I guess I'll need a licence for that too? :mad2:.

If I'm planning on disposing of the waste correctly, i.e skip or hippo, am I still not allowed to take it home?

Just recently had 2 yard skip at my place, could'nt even have the skip left in the parking bay next to my house and still needed a licence.

What the skip hire company said if I have the skip for a day, no licence required, which I done.
