I use a staff too

I think its a throw back to the old pilks that could be badly calbrated, walls are rarely flat so spacing with spacers can throw you out

so use your staff or gauge rod as I call it to check and adjust your perps and that your tiles are still on gauge

I think his staff is his marking gauge? Or perhaps its his Jedi tiling staff!

I like the packers and find them useful if the acrylic bath dips in the middle, but i will be giving the wedges a try too

I always have my bucket of water at my side, and ALWAYS have a stanley putty knife with me for scraping around tiles and joints! it pays to work clean,i'v seen the results of dirty tilers before.

I use a spacer to run down the grout line if there is addy oozing out. I use a Hardiebacker score and snap knife to pick out any stubborn spacers. I also use the Hardiebacker knife to run down the grout line if the addy has dried. Cheers Sean

If I go past any Topps retail store, for some reason my van speeds up quiet noticeably then after I past the place, it slows back down again - Strange that.

Sorry to take so long getting back to you. Yes, Topps do sell them for £6.99 Carbide blade that lasts ages.
