Ebeco (
http://www.ebeco.co.uk/) has been around for ages. It's a twin-core system (single core ones are the ones that are a pain to fit as they need to be connected at both ends of the cable / cable-mat to make the circuit). They haven't updated the cable I believe. I had reports back saying it was a bit stiff (would keep it's rolled up shape a little while you're laying it).
Ebeco were not actually that big in the UK only 6 or 7 years ago. A company in Nottingham (Floor Heating Systems - now Varme) were the main suppliers of it and they chose to get their own cable made in the end.
It's prices to me were ok but I got better in the end from a scottish manufacturer (Flexel International) who supply Ebeco with their carbon film heating.
I'd go to
www.floorheating.ltd.uk for Flexel underfloor heating personally. Then
www.handyheat.co.uk for Varme gear would be my second choice.
Gaz, you'll need to get clued up on the carbon "foil" heating mats that go under laminate if they stock laminate and shift the carbon. Though you'll be sound if they sell just the cable and cable mats, it's all the same really.
Slightly different thicknesses, slightly different make-up in the cables.
It's always the stats that do the job.
Heatmiser is a cheap brand you can get as a trader if you shift a lot of the stuff. Though the Aube thermostats you'll find are the ones that Flexel, Varme and many of the others decide to use rather than making their own or re-branding and existing one.
Ebeco do their own and the aube - sensible supplier -

This is the Floor Heating Systems.com website in 2002 -
http://web.archive.org/web/20020927041150/http://www.floorheatingsystems.com/ notice it says to buy online at Ebeco.co.uk - they had control over that domain name and the sales from it then.
Now it seems Ebeco are doing it themselves in the UK.
