hi , just wondering wot you lot do regarding fitting a tile trim with mosaics ? iam only doing a splash back and customer wants a gap between the top of her kitchen units and the tiles. Oviously i would normally finish the top of the tile with a trim if i was fitting normal size ceramics , but not sure with mosaics as the bit of the trim that slots behind the mosaic is around the same size as one of the mosaics if you no wot i mean ! so wouldnt get much of a bond. just thought id get your opinion as i havent done many mosaics

I get where you are coming from, also the back of the trim can make the top tile stick out a bit proud, so generally speaking don't tend to trim mosaics.

there porslain mosaics , not glass, there quite thick also so would look horendous with the buscuit showing .

The few times i've used mosaic and trim together, i've fitted the trim first and flushed out the back edge with fast set then left to dry. I've then fitted mosaic as normal, giving a flush finish.

Snap! You got in while I was still writing!!!!!!

I preffer the look of a trim on mosaics 9 times out of ten!

Glass ones do have a good finnished edge as do some stone but, the walls need to be perfect if your not using a trim to achieve a top class result.
