just one of my 5 cutters takes up all the room in my van "the beast is tx1200n" from tradetiler, honestly that man could sell snow to eskimoes lol:santa_cheesy:

Is yours the heavy one doug...not the new alloy one..?...:dizzy2::20:

What's the new alloy one like - anyone tried it yet? The thought of alloy seems a bit flimsy in theory, and got used to older style one on the NETTcourse and still want to buy one, (have a wet cutter and a cheaper diy dry cutter wich now seems pathetic!) and now the new Rubi one's comes out confusing things! :rolleyes5:

Looks like they will be out in the new year. It is mainly to reduce the weight. I will find iut some more ASAP

I have a meeting with Rubi's Managing Director soon. I will find out for sure, hopefully they will let me pass on the info.

Mark ( Rubi) has already said in another thread about when they will be available in the uk.....but please do still check for us dave...

Dave, my hero :batman:

So after the delayed till August news just looked through the catalogue, - am I right in thinking that the wooden 🙂-) TF Plus may be a good (and hopefully cheaper - how much is it, Tradetiler Dave?) stop gap until then, considering that for now I'll be only dealing with ceramic tiles and glass (would it be ok for that, too? like mirror glass?) and could do with not spending too much right now? Ignore grammar and excessive use of brackets here...

the new alloy one will be like me now.........lighter and stronger!!

Will find out

If you are into mosiacs then look at the Montolit

No, That's not what I'm after TTDave. You won't have had cause to look at what I do but it's not the mosaic tiles available in shops I work with, but my own artistic mosaic work, please do have a look at my albums. I need a manual rubi cutter now for any hight quality tiling AROUND my artistic work and otherwise, but wouldn't mind a mirror/glass cutting facility at the same time. For my own mosaic pieces I use the Leponitt wheel cutter...
So, again looking at the TF plus, would that do as a reliable interim not so often used ceramic tile and glass cutter?

Cheers...

it does look good tho', would love to have a workshop for gear like this, to do bespoke stuff in a bit of leisure time, along with a wood lathe etc etc etc

🙂 Have seen this before, great ain't it, but NOOO :dizzy2:, will someone just please listen!!! I just want a straight manual cutter for the tiling APART from the mosaic work and like the rubi one but want to know if the TF plus would do me until the new alloy one comes out or even longer...

As to cutting shapes, after NETT Darren's brilliant teaching and unique approach to various unique tricks and tips I'm pretty confident cutting any old shape into tile, not quite as well as that jigsaw but still....

Anyhow, TF plus, can I know more about just that, please??? G'Grief....:smash::smash::smash: (one each..)

phew, that's better....

I think the rubi TF was more for the german market gisela...coz they seem to like their wooden based tile cutters....they are no different to the TS series really in the way they function.......

Here is a video for ya!!..
