Set your laser up for example in a kitchen I'd pop in on the worktop. Hold a piece of batten upright in the centre of the floor (Or personally I use my spirit level) And mark on it where the laser is. If you move the batten and the laser line drops below the mark you've made the floor is getting higher, if it goes above your original mark then the floor is getting lower, does that make sense??

I thought it was a a bit too much.........(so I do not own one!) I can get a flat floor with a trowel.........and a level floor with a trowel and time.......£10.99 from any reputable tool merchant!.....

i watched a vid last night which deffinately appealed to me as to levelling out a whole floor.... fix screws in the floor acroos the room for the exact height.... but something is telling me this would be the wrong way to go about it. whats your opinion mate? cheers

I just tile their offices Pete................that one was in St. Katherines Dock...........Its over a million for a studio flat!......from memory.........heheehhehehehehheheeeee............

I live in a cardboard box....just off the enbankment.....it is furnished with paper towels and a battery lighting system (torch)........hehehhehhee

Word of caution if using laser and stick method- if you tilt your stick just slightly, you may find your measurement is way off accurate.
Done carefully its a good method though.

you dont use a laser and "STICK"........you use a laser and a reciever.......its the only way to screed a floor (and I mean SLC or S&C)......
