tiling disasters

ok guys time to honest now 🙂
what disaster has happend to you when youve been tiling and how did you cope or get out of it.

mine was on my 2nd ever bathroom job i dropped a tile in a brand new jacuzi bath,
i used a duvet in bath but 1 bit about 6 ins sq was uncoverd an guess where tile hit , yup knocked a lovely chip out of bath bottom ,
me arse fell oot all over the place an thought i was f@~*ed but good old yellow pages found me a guy who repaired chips n things in baths ,cost me forty squid but what a job customer never noticed a thing. have to admit i was a nervous wreck for days after.
but i now sleep with this guys number under me pillow even offered to have his babies lol
though him been a bloke and twenty stone did put a damper on it:wink_smile:

Great post, Ihad a tile fall off a wall with so called non slip adh,fell onto worktop and had to claim on my public liability,for all new ones.Luckily I priced a quote for retiling the job on my own insurance lol and got it massivly inflated.The most scary was in aplace called quernmore hall nr Lancaster,nailed through a pipe upstairs bathroom floor and went home for the weekend.The music room below had a steinway piano I **** you not! the water came down on it but luckily ran off the laquer and onto the floor.The curator/butler spotted the leak and isolated it PHEW!!!!!!never had to claim disaster was overted

In my early days i stupidly decided to pour my excess grout down the bath. im sure you can guess what happened next. luckily the customer was understanding and i got it sorted at my own expense. lesson learned!
