What Adhesive would be best.I will be using Ceramic and Porcelain tiles, they will be laid on plaster walls, and over existing tiles, and on a plywood floor.
The existing tiles are very solid and is a small area. The plywood is about 8 m screw down very securely .

Hi Leslie, a few questions if you please. What size are your tiles (existing and new)? What thickness is the ply? Why can you not remove the existing tiles? Thanks

The size of the tiles ,the ceramic are 300x300 ,The porcelain are 600x600,The ply is 16 mil, reason for not removing tiles,I feel they are very solid no weak spots, the customer would like it done very quickly does not want the mess,Existing tiles all ready on walls are 200 x 200.

You are well exceeding any weight for a plastered wall with the existing tiles allready fixed and if they had used tubbed gear to hold them up your on hiding to nowhere.

hi leslie im off the same opinuion as the other guys you are exceeding the weight limit by a long way by fixing tile on tile,if as you have stated the tiled area is very small then simply remove these tiles, re prep the wall accordingly and use a cement based adhesive such as keraquik to re fix your new ones.

what king of meterage are we talking that is tile on tile...if its only a few mestres you will have them off in no time and re render the wall if needed with something like bal render, wont add on much time and sheet the door of the room no extra mess job done

I have not started the job yet so I will take your advice and remove the existing tiles. The reason I am asking about adhesive is that there is so many different opinions ,and wanted advice, also regarding putting any bonding on the walls, before.
