Hi, has anyone used The Underfloor heating store? There stuff is dirt cheap and I wondered if it was okay...

I have not used the company you are asking about. We have a company Uheat that sponsors our forum and freely gives advice. Check the advertisers bar on the right ---->

They are also very competitive on price.

THey are more than competitive...they will be hard to beat on UFH prices and really good on insulation board prices......

In can say that Aaron from u-heat is very professional ,rings when he says he will, great on price and knows his stuff. I would highly recommend U-heat and have already passed their number on to another tiler from my area

Im pretty sure i was on the course with you just before xmas,you done the victorian tiling on the piece of hardibacker if i remember rightly.

Not sure on discount but i would imagine it depends on how much you spend with them, shoot them an email and ask.

Yes im Laurence from Crawley, in the middle of setting up web page and waiting for business cards and letterhead paper before i start advertising, waiting on signs for my vehicle too,i got 4 jobs lined up though, a kitchen and bathroom in same house and a downstairs toilet and kitchen in seperate houses.

Have you been busy or had many calls?

The downstairs toilet is for a friend that plastered my living room, its a good 8x5m and he done the ceiling aswell but he charged me normal day rate so it stands to reason you either scratch each others back, or you don't so im gonna charge him normal rate. It is small though but im gettin him to have staggered joints(brick pattern).

The others i still need to see but its for friends and family so can't be too harsh on them, or can i, lol.

you're quite right, the kitchen floor I did for a friend I did very cheap and it was marvelous experience but in the end I still wish I had charged a bit more as I didn't know quite how long it would take

I am sure that we are very competative with other companies. We may not be the cheapest as there is some rubbish out there.

If you would like to give me the full measurements of the room i will work out what you need with prices.
Alternatively give me the products you have already priced and i will do a like for like for you.

i cannot get onto tilefix.com but did find www.tilefixdirect.com, looking at these prices the single board price is more expensive than ours, in order to get the cheaper price you have to buy over 48 bds. If you have a job this big i would be happy to beat the price.

looking at the ufh on the site, we are cheaper than them on this.

The underfloor heating store you mentioned. I cannot comment on the cables as there is no technical information. They also fit as a company and there are a few companies who make little or no profit on the UFH and make it back on the installation.
