Has anyone tried this stuff, or is it no better than using masking tape and your finger? It looks quite easy to apply for an amateur like myself without getting caked in sealant, or is the product simply snake oil?!

Cornertape Perfect Silicon Joints Every Time

Oops - that'll teach me to be looking for something that's right under me nose!

I think i'll give the stuff a go as it's obviously the real deal and does look simple to use. I've made a big enough mess with my bathroom as it is...

Quick question though, will the sealant fill in where for example a wall is slightly bowed?

Cheers :8:

yes it will

corner tape works well. cut your nozzle small and take your time

ive never used this tape and from that video it looks really easy to use but then again they have picked a nice straight bath, nice glossy tiles to fix it to, a bath that sits against a wall and not enclosed in against 3 wall as most bath are, also who as taps like them these days. most taps these days are fancy things that sit close to the walls and a lot higher then them ones, just notice how his silicon gun fits over them nice(this never happens in real life). plus what happens further up the wall when say you get to a complex border tile or something similar your going to be left with silicon squirting out into the tiles etc wich could spoil the overall look of using the tape. I would say im more of a domestic tiler tiling bathrooms 95% of my total work and i cant see it being of any help to me. sorry.

using my trusty old finger:

what about modern day taps that are like these ones how do you use tape on here, they are near enough at the back of the bath touching the tiles.

its a good product,if your not too hot using Silicon this is definately a product to help you out:thumbsup:

the small one is suitable for splashbacks in kitchen work and the medium for bathrooms,,id leave the large one alone as it looks as thick as a mars bar
