How do you height size your fixed showerheads Macten, do you do them all at about 1800- 2000mm?

6 foot 6 inches usually s0 1800 - 2000mm seems about right. I don't think I've actually ever measured it out - just put it about 6 inches above my head! If the customer isn't average height then I will check they're okay with it before first fixing

If you’re ever in doubt about shower fixings then get hold of the Hansgrohe book. It tells you the height of absolutely everything. It’s ridiculously specific.

Ah yes i've seen such a booklet.

I'm never in doubt of height, its normally what Macten does but on my last bathroom I set the height of the fixed head and got my two pipes out of wall and later on in the project I made the decision the tray would have to go on legs due to waste route so I lost about 150mm. Luckily I had positioned the head right far up and it worked out fine but there is nothing worse than finding out at the 11th hour the pipes are two high or low.

I made that mistake in 2009 never again!

I put fixed head arm outlet 3 inches from ceiling, last day of job putting shower together realised the arm had a 4 inch drop .

Hole cut in ceiling, filled and painted after got me over that one.

So the showerhead was still two low?

3 inches from ceiling for a fixed ARM is more or less as high as you would go anyway..

No it was fine, it had high ceilings, was an extension in a Victorian house.
