Hi, been a member for a few years now and gained a lot of knowledge from this site. Been tiling now for 13 years but always been an employee but now decided to take the plunge and go self employed. I'm sure this forum will be a great help.

There is work if you have a customer base or are prepared to travel.
We tend to do a bit of both 20 days local and 10 days away - gives the wife just enough time to start missing me!

I'd need to be away for more than 10 days before my wife started missing 🙂 . I go self employed in 3 weeks and so far I've got 3 weeks booked up.
