I always enjoy seeing the photos everyone posts of everyday life in the UK, pics of the family and kids, the garden, Doug's fishing trips  and so on......

Here are some photos from my son's game today. They are the Boston Red Sox:thumbsup:, and they played the Los Angeles Angels:thumbsup: (Major League baseball lets kids' leagues use team names and logos) today at a local sports complex. One good thing that my county has done is to require developers to put in playing fields, which they donate to the county. This sports complex has three baseball fields, two soccer fields, and a football field.

My son Robby is in these pictures, wearing the blue jersey (#6) .

FYI, the reason you see the Dads pitching is because at this level, league rules only allow the teams to have the boys pitch for three innings. The Dads have to pitch for the rest of the game. This is required so the boys don't injure their arms while pitching. Each boy is limited to a certain number of pitches per game and per week.

that looks fantastic Rob. I wish the kids round here had something like that to do. kinda makes me want to move to America 😀

Hi Liz, if you move to Maine as you've said you'd like to do, you'll find ice hickey substituted for Little League baseball. They might not even know what baseball is up there.

It was a nice day out. The weather has been hot and clear. Overnight a cold front came through and now it's cool and damp and dreary.

winter is setting in here now Rob... and I refuse to put the heating on yet 😉

where's the warmest place in the US Rob?
