Hi All,
After a bit of help, I'm trying to work out the best way to lay the tile trim around the splash back I'm doing on a window. I'm using this trim .
I'm tiling up to the bottom of the wall cabinets (one is flush to the window) so I've layed the tile trim down the side of the window/the corner where the wall and window meet and I now need to lay a horizontal piece going away from me (towards the window pane). So an external 90 degree corner really. All I seem to be able to find is guides on a 3way miter...but I only have two pieces of tile trim.

Hope this makes sense.

You need to cut either 2 x 45 degree standard mitres or 2 x 45 degree compound mitres.

Standard mitres - trims sit flat 45 degrees to each other - lie trim flat in a mitre box (buy from local DIY shed) and cut with a hack saw. Trim rough edges with stanley blade or finger file.
Compound mitres - trims stand 90 degrees to each other, but need a 45 degree cut to mitre. Stand trim on edge in mitre box and cut to 45 degrees.

or buy corner pieces .
stand trim up in mitre box so the side with the holes is at the bottom
