Have I used too much floor adhesive?

I tiled the kitchen floor a month or so, first time doing so and well, I didn't do as good a job as I had hoped. The floor sloped off to one side of the room and I ended up using 10-15mm+ of adhesive in places to try and level it. I used lots of it as well.

This was a month ago now but after reading certain comments I'm a bit worried. I know I should have done more preparation but didn't realise just how out the floor was in places.

I used rapid set powdered adhesive on asphalt.

Everything set fine and it's totally rock solid, do I have anything to worry about??

DID YOU PREP THE FLOOR ?I HAVE TO GO OVER ASPHALT SEVERAL TIMES A WEEK WITH A LATEX LEVELLING COMPOUND. YOU MUST APPLY SBR ON ASPHALT DUE TO THE ASBESTOS CONTENT. THAT IS MANS RECOMENDATION NOT MUCH WILL STICK TO IT. :mad2: JUST QUALIFIED IN ASBESTOS TESTING AND REMOVAL.

I didn't do anything with sbr, just gave it a really good clean.

Tiles are really stuck well to be honest, I can pull up on the edge of a tile as hard as I can and it ain't going anywhere.

It's about 1 inch thick asphalt over york stone floor slabs.

I tiled my kitchen floor, vinyl floor tiles over asphalt that was when i knew absolutely nothing about tiling,have stayed down no problem with just using adhesive,only problem was i never sealed the tiles,so needs ripping up and doing properly after i have done my course lol..:lol:

u may find in the long term they will debond u will only find out in time but have seen it happen after only a few months good luck 😛ete
