Just joined the forum and I've already learnt loads. So thanks to all. I am installing a wet room on the first floor of a house. I've used hardie backer and homelux matting I'm about to put in underfloor heating and tile over it with porcelain tiles. The shop I bought my stuff from sold me some Bal grout but I wonder if I should use an epoxy grout? Any advice would be appreciated

Welcome!!

Why do you think you would be better off with epoxy?

Bit more info would be great

I'm using a toppdec tray set on 18mm ply the rest of the floor is brought up to level with a layer of ply with hardie insulating board on top. On top of this is a layer of homelux matting bedded in Bal rapidset flexible. On top of that is my heating wire and then porcelain tiles bedded in more Bal rapidset flexible. I've covered the walls in homelux wall sheeting which is again set in the Bal rapid set. They are tiled with porcelain tiles. All the joints have been overlapped and then covered in a jointing strip which is again set in repidset.

Thanks for that but is there a Bal equivalent as the shop I bought my grout from only seems to stock Bal and I'd quite like to swop?
