ok im gonna sound really stupid now, but what is ditra matting and when and what is it used for???? any explanation appreciated!

schluter-ditra is a polyethylene membrane with a grid stucture of square cavities, each cut back in a dovetail configuration, and on an anchoring fleece laminated to the underside.designed for tile and natural stone installations.
ditra serves as a water proofing membrane,a vapour pressure equalisation layer to accomodate moisture occuring at the underside of the substrate, and as an uncoupling layer for problematic substrates. HOPE THIS HELPS MATE!!.

Wow DH couldn't have explained better than if i copied it from schluter site lol.

got schluter manual in front of me lol lol dont think i knew all them big words did you
p.s. know wot ditra is and does thought this sounded better lol
