Hi. I've been asked to tile a couple of chimney breasts(inside)
the client is looking for something bespoke but "old looking"
there is a freestanding wood burner in the breast. I have a few ideas of what I think will look good but was hoping one of you guys may have had some experience doing one of these. And put forward any designs that looked good.
As always thanks to anyone taking the time to help out.

I did my own chimney breast at home using 300x300mm slate, cut down into 50mm strips and then random lengths. I know it's the outside rather than the inside that you want to do but, I'm sure it'd give a similar effect. If you were feeling really creative you could do it in herring bone.

Why not go to a reclamation yard & purchase old bricks & chop them down into slips if you have a Dewalt or similar wet cutter??
