Hi all, hoping for an advise pls for a bathroom work currently underway. Insurers are fixing a bathroom leak, part of which they are replacing wall marbrex panels with tiles. Done by a 3rd party who is actually doing the job. This is carpeted bathroom, with wall tiles, and skirting board, how it used to be when the house was bought. Marbrex panels were fitted just before covid, in 2020. But ppl who fitted marbrex wall panels got rid off skirting board. Now the qn is, with the bathroom going to be wall tiled, is it better with or without skirting board. I am concerned more about the damage the bottom tiles will take while hoovering. Please advise.

I would lose the carpet and tile tight down with no skirting,
Either tiles or vinyl on the floor- carpet is gross in a bathroom.
