BAL Protective Sealer

All,
Ive had grout haze problems on the last couple of jobs where the tiles (ceramic & Porcelain) are matt black or dark. Reading through a few threads, there appears to be a few products on the market to help remove residue but i wonder if anyone has tried the BAL protective sealer before grouting? This is listed as a temporary sealer prior to grouting but i wonder if it actually does the trick?

yes mate use a porcilain sealer on a cloth or sponge thin coat over the face of the tiles . then let it dry befor grouting . saves a lot of stress . "come on you lions"

Thanks Paul. Does the sealer come off with sponge and water or do you need another solution to remove it?

If you grout within 2 hrs of applying the sealer, it washes off..

hmm, interesting... would that work with/over glass mosaics as well? Never thought of that option before, but could be helpful if it works? And things like pebbles and shells etc?

have put this sealer over the fired earth glass mosaics ! the matt ones that hold the grout on the face also on the glass riven finish . all ok . make sure there cleaned off first . no glue on the face apply with cloth . done hundreds of mtrs of mosaics and porcilain like this no prob

mmm, doing a matt black porkie shortly, might give it a go, sounds like it could save a day of washing down!
