Adhesive for Dural CI FH - Tile Advice

Hi there,

The installation manual for Ci FH matting suggests use of C2 adhesive. Is this the same as S2? I called the Dural tech line and the person who answered didn't know either! She said any flexible adhesive would be fine to lay the matting down to.

I have purchased S1 grade adhesive I hope this is fine.

S1 is more than adequate.

S1 will be fine. If you look your bag probably say c2te s1 or c2ft s1 .

Make your adhesive slightly wetter than normal, don’t lay down too much ahead of you or it’s likely to skin and won’t adheres to the mat.
Make sure you don’t use a trowel with a notch that is too deep, it’ll create lumps in your floor.
Make sure you bed the mat in well, either with a rubber float tamped on top or you can smooth it out with a regular trowel, just make sure you press it well in to the adhesive.
And don’t pull a corner up the next day to see if it’s fixed down, it’s likely to peel straight up.
It can take up to 7 days for it to take hold permanently.
If you laid it correctly, it’ll be fine, trust in the adhesive and your technique.

Thanks for the great tips! Will it be OK to stand on/lay cable after 24hrs. Im using standard adhesive.

I use this mat all the time and often with a c2. If you can get a karndean roller or something along those lines it will bed it in much better and easier
