:mad2:some mad antimalware has popped up on me pc and sent it crazy. its called xp antimalware 2010 and its disabled my macafee and is stopping me accessing the net.:incazzato: im only on at the mo cuz i did a system restore. does anybody know how to get rid of this bloody thing cuz it aint on the program removal page. thanks in advance :mad2:

diamond tiling had a similar issue not more than 3-4 weeks ago. there's a thread somewhere here on the forums about it all.

it scared me half to death so i uninstalled norton and installed AVG anti virus etc plus Ad-aware spyware tracker.

and at the weekend i clicked on a photograph in Google images after doing a search for something and it sent my pc crazy, claiming that my drives were infected and chucking up pop-ups telling me to click on OK to download a new protection system. i ended up just pulling the plug on the internet connection and doing a full system scan for both avg and ad-aware.

thanks for that i will have a look for the post now. i was dreading having to reboot as i have so much stuff saved on the pc it will take best part of 4 or 5 hours thanks again:thumbsup:

thanks for pointing me in the right direction it seems to be sorted already. i clicked on the automatic updates which then downloaded a windows malicious software remover and now its back to normal thanks again:thumbsup:
