Where to measure to?

Hi, do you guys measure from skirting to doorway, or from skirting to skirting when measuring the length of a room before tiling?

Erm, just measure width x length and calculate extra required for cuts etc

For setting out purposes normally from skirting to skirting.

Doesn't really matter when talking about millimetres as you are going to round up for extra anyway, you always add on extra for breakages etc

If I'am doing the walls skirting has to come off.
If I'am doing the floor skirting has to come off.

I'm asking as i'm trying to get an accurate chalk line.
