got a transit connect which has been great, cheap to run and pretty reliable. finding it a wee bit small, i am selling it next week as i go t a great deal on a vw transporter. if you are needing to carry large sheets then the connect is no good however if yo uare just carting tiling gear around i would recommend them. the vw holds it price better than any van i know

i was thinking about a connect but heard they wernt to good on diesel transporter would be good but way out my budget lol

alright bud ive got a transit connect 04 plate drives great i get roughly 215 miles from 30 quid which i think is quite good .

I'm on my second Citroen dispatch and they are a great van, will get the new shape soon.
Mmm as above the Vivaro debute is very mixed, same as the Renaults. My mate spent £7000 on a mint Vivaro, then spent another £5000 putting a new engine in it as all the injectors kept breaking, plus numerous other major niggles, another mate of mine is a Vauxhall mechanic and he says they are simply 'Rubbish", but there are loats of happy Vivaro drivers too, i comes down to each individual van really.
Lots of my mates have Transporters turned into campers and they all say they are fab.

i've got a transit 61 plate, had it new in octoder, 3rd one i've had can carry 8x4 sheets in the back and plenty of tools.

Have the Peugeot Expert (new shape).

Cracking van.No complaints at all.

If i also did plumbing would look for something slightly bigger.

I need to fit a bulk head and create some shelving to utilise the wasted height space in the back.

I have an '07 trafic and she's a good one.I have just 60k on now and no serious problems.I have carried serious loads of heavy marble etc and the only problem there was brakes.Oh and too much weight caused a bulge in a rear tyre.EGR valve went too.So not bad at all.

peugot partner with sliding side door, does me fine as i am what it says on the van ,a wall and floor tiler, 25mts in it this morning 4 adhesive grout and all my tools, dont do boarding i get the right trades in if needed,im not one of theese who do every trade there is,tiler only

I have an 08 Primastar, great van had it 2 n a half years & the only problem ive had is i just replaced the top mount on the strut, they are bad for this over 60k.

I changing to either a Vivaro/Primastar/Trafic lwb, preferably a Trafic Sport as there are a bit less of them on the road.

Joe, if you keep having trouble with an EGR valve then get that engine nice & warm & get that thing onto the red line in 3rd & 4th n hold it there to get it to blow the soot out the back. The EGR valve went on my Mondeo ST & the most common problem is because its a diesel then you tend to change up the gears earlier because of the torque.

I red line the car & the van every couple of months, You will be shocked at times the amount of Reek you will produce.
