Its that time of year again.(chrimbo)..what are the kids wanting this year?

mine want..motorbike..got it, ipod ..getting it.

baby alive £50 for a doll..getting it and everything else they see on tv.:mad2:

My daughter is 21 and last year sent her £200 and also the same for her and the boyfriend who rent privately in plymouth to get something for the flat, furniture and the like.

A xbox 360 was what they bought, told her it's not happening this year and told the other half don't waste your money on a pile of rubbish.

Christmas seems to have less meaning, it's a fraud. Humbug:thumbsup:

My kids rarely ask for anything but a few years ago i pushed for a list. My daughter came back with TV for bedroom and cable installed so she could have all teh kids programmes.
My son was crazy about fishing so i bought him a load of fishing tackle.
He has only been fishing 4 times since, so that was a waste of money. My daughters tv gets used now and again but they usually take over the main TV.
Last year i just gave them money and they were delighted...i hate doing it but i am not wasting money on stuff they will never use again.
Xmas ?? you can keep it !:mad2:

whilst you're there then Bri... I'll have a drumkit, new mountain bike and a Nintendo DS

Hubby asks for a new watch every year, but I never bother. he has 4 already. thankfully no kids of our own, but we still have to buy for 5 children.

I think the idea of Christmas (celebrating and being together) has slipped away and I doubt we'll ever get it back.

All I want this Christmas is snow

Xmas is Cancelled at the Thomson Household.

Of to post more leaflets !!!!! 4000 and counting

seems to be doom and gloom for christmas over there
what they ask for ill give them if i can ipods ect there only young once :8:

Im glad we dont have kids yet, my two dogs manage to cause chaos, let alone kids.

Xmas presents, I cant even deicide what I want for my own birthday next week, I just cant think of anything that I want that wouldnt get left in the cupboard after a few weeks, the missus keeps asking me but to be honest whatever I come up with just seems like a waste of money, ecspecially with the wedding coming up and our money being tied up in that.

weddings do eat the money up..its so expensive to get married now especially if you want the trimmings.

Beleive me Bri, she finds a new trimming to add on every week, lol,

I never knew there were so many 'trimmings' out there.

Oli.. i can....payment...

LOL, Im now looking on that as a big cash gift that will come at some point in the future, Im going to earmark it for something for the house, maybe a big aquarium for the lounge as a permanent reminder.

My boy is 16, and Crimbo is'nt the same when they are older.

Gone are the days of him running around at silly O'clock on crimbo morning all excited.
Last Christmas the wife and I where sitting around waiting for him to get up :yikes:

Gone are the days of Talcumn powder footprints in front of the fire, mince pie and totty for santa.

Not the same when they get older.

I convinced an ex-girlfriend that I wanted a Scalextrics for Christmas once, she got it for me I used it once or twice then the MASSIVE box just got moved around the house, It was the one where if you put oil on the starting grid the wheels were supposed to smoke, it never did and i've been heartbroken ever since
