I wonder if anyone could advise me on how best to finish a sand cement internal wall ready for direct tiling e.g.

-just rubbed flat with poly float
-closed with sponge after being “rubbed”
-fine key with devil float


Any advice / informed opinion welcome.

As above for me, fine key but you will need to allow time for full cure, then remove any friable bits from the surface. (caused by the fine key):thumbsup:

A good float finish but don't rub up to early otherwise you find it sitting on the floor....a sort roll on roll off action.
