this is a picture of the kitchen completely finished on a job i entered for april 2012 JOTM.
Stone fixed vix blue limestone
this picture taken many months later than when we completed our work.
kitchen smallbone of devizes.

Hand cut porcelain in 5 colours to a Victorian property in Harrogate. Went for the stairs 'on top' of the design as it went a bit narrow to the cloaks cupboard at the end. Managed to get the complete pattern in the WC. as well which looked good.
Note : the enquiry for this job came from Tilers Forum so it's always worth making your Albums full of pictures as you never know who is looking.

Nice job TJ. Very valid point about albums too, something I've never not round too. Just put a load of pics onto my new laptop as I'm trying to chose some for a website so will create some albums on here while I'm at it

No - all hand cut from 96mm full body unglazed porcelain.

Couldn't afford the full professional 5 day course run by the plasterer but still managed to gain an NVQ while he sat on the staircase watching! He even attempted to ask me why I'd started where I did only to be told - it's with 40 years of trial and error! You have to laugh Phil otherwise we wouldn't see our grandchildren grow up.
Keep working hard don't forget my coffee next time our paths meet.

Looks very steep to me and no hand rails!
Was the staircase built to tile or has it been adapted.
Nice idea but not sure of longevity.
Did you do the rest of the tiling and are there any photos.
You can always post in 'Show us your work' thread.

Hi its not as steep as it looks.customer got ride of hand rail on the left for the minimal look but they are putting a small one on the right side also we went for a carpet inset which are removeable and also for a safety point.

here is a bathroom where three vertical sets of mosaics specified which is is not unusual nowasdays.
each set of mosaics set out to be central to shower back wall/vanity/bath.
field tile 600 x 300 set portrait .
plumbed up field tiles and then set a 6mm backer board to allow for original style mosiac plus min bed by using a notched out timber .
I actually think this is a great way make a statement in a bathroom .
