sorry Mike still cant see its waterproof thats the only one i have used but had to tank it
this is a post i put up this what i cant understand as i dont do many domestics i spoke to hardi theres are not waterproof

the knauf one is waterproof, can be fully imersed in water and a 10 year guarantee Knauf Drywall - Aquapanel - Drywall for Wet Areas

Dos'nt say waterproof, it just says that water will not damage the board if it gets wet unlike plasterboard etc

Thats what it looks like to me as i said on that post little misleading imo unless i missed something all new for me wil speak to them if i remember lol

it will not break down if it gets wet so that makes it ideal for a wetroom/shower room. you could tank it as well but that could be an overkill. personal preference i guess

im off the same opinion as mike...i use on domestic showers with out tanking no issues

they dont break down,warp or promote mould ,if i use plasterboard then i tank

as i said before Jamie Mike its all new to me i need to know i tried putting water on a piece i would say it would go through it in time to whats behind saying that i know its good because it better than say plaster board but i need to know :8:

It's the weight in can take pete but for total waterproof then tanking for me..

Hardi and Aqua panel when you ask if there product is waterproof they both say its unaffected by water you have to ask them again is it waterproof then they say no do i need to tank it they both said yes IMO they give the impression its waterproof naughty

As far as the tanking method is concerned, I always use a membrane rather than a paint on system. But agree with the above comments re: cement boards.
