I am looking at getting some decent work trousers with knee pad pockets. I have seen the Armadillo range from the site sponsor. Also Dickies and Snickers. I am favouring the Snickers at the moment but do any of you use any of the above brands and if so how are they for wear and tear. Also how are they size wise, i am a 36 waist but always get 38 waist for work jeans as i like more space around the legs.
Cheers

don't waste you'r money on them. they are'nt meant for prolonged kneeling and will damage your knees in the long term. buy yourself a decent set of pads instead.

I have a pair of BLAKLADER from our sponsor....best I have ever worn...the sizes are a slack fit for movement.......Gaz

Cant wear knee pads and have been using some Dickies with knee pads inserted in. Very nice but dont last as they are just normal cloth.

These are the proper bad boys: broken link removed There's a post on the forum somewhere explaining all about the quality of them - and what makes them comfortable but still very durable. I just couldn't find it just.

The Blaklader ones from Armadillo are the dogs swingers - proper heavy duty and a great loose fit. Knee pads sleeves to insert foam pads. Best ones I have ever worn 🙂

I use Blåkläder currently (Swedish brand btw, which translates to "Blue Clothes", which refers to Blue Collar work), but I've never been entirely happy with any of the work trousers I've had. I'm going to get a pair of Snickers 5223 when my current trousers are worn out.

Do you guys really spent that much on a pair of trousers? 17 years I've been wearing the same brand of decorators dungarees at £10 a pop, plenty of storage, built-in knee pads, 100% cotton for easy cleaning. Combined with additional karl dahm knee pads they can't be beat. If they get dirty, split or damaged they go in the bin and stick on another pair. £50 for trousers
Cheers,
Dave
Rich for a reason 😉
