Some seem to like them but to be honest I don't think it's something I'd use. Never actually had a go though so you never know.

Somebody on here got a bunch to test and they liked them. But whether they're using them still now is another thing.

Funnily enough I bought some ages ago and didnt get on with them but found them today while sorting a store room out so tomorrow I will try them again on some 600x600 porcelain.

I've tried 3 or 4 systems, but the only ones I like are the Rubi ones, u get feedback thro the pliers when u tighten them.

I'd be concerned that if a tile is sinking, and you pull it up using those, that actually you're avoiding using more adhesive behind the tile, which is what it actually needs if it's sinking.

I'm guessing with very wet adhesive you'd sort of level it all out under the tiles, but stiff adhesive wouldn't budge much so you'd end up with air pockets?

Or am I missing the trick?

No, you're not missing a trick at all Dan, spot on by hats why I prefer the Rubi straps. U get a feel for them and u kinda know how the tiles sitting. But if the addy is too stiff all u'll do is snap the strap clean off.
