About legal stuff , if a tiler or plumber or electrician were to be taken to court ,surly they (courts ) should have judges with constructional knowledge ,if not even specific trade knowledge ,do they or do they just rely on technical specialists ??

It's up to you to prove yourself. So if you need specialist witnesses (who have assessed the evidence from both sides) then you can call them in. If you're in any field, you need a good solicitor and you need one that is good at the very specific thing you need.

So you say construction only.

Is it you being a contractor, and you wanting to sue a customer? If it you wanting to sue a supplier that might require a different solicitor. If you're getting sued as a contractor and its a supplier trying to sue you, maybe that's a different solicitor you'd need if it was a customer wanting to sue you.

Solicitors cover areas within law mostly. And it's all the same to them providing its the same laws applying to them. They then just need to hear the story and checkout the proof or evidence and they'll tell you if they need specialist advice etc - you tend to find that with bigger practices they'll have a whole range of solicitors and experience levels. Etc

So no they won't always be solicitors covering only construction.

Had to post the above first to get back to the question then lol
