hi all new to this forum, fantastic info on here so here goes my first post. just undertaking a wetroom for a client, a walk in area 1800 long x 800 wide, ceiling mounted shower head, floor is block & beam & walls concrete block (very level but porous). they have purchased a 1800 x 800 tray former (marmox) & a sovereign watertite tanking kit. question i have is what to do with walls prior to tanking, thought about a cement render but drying/curing time limiting, also considered using a quick drying render or even cementous tile adhesive to just fill block pores, house is about 10 years old so presume walls have done any settling they are going to do, i am unsure what to do for best, thanks in advance to all

Hi and welcome to the forum. As you say you could render but what about fixing plasterboards to the concrete block walls and then tanking out.

thanks for your advise everybody, will do as suggested (+ its cheap) anybody tried the sovereign tanking kits usually make good stuff for moisture related situations. cheers

Hi and welcome:thumbsup:

Never used that but have used sovereign products and rate them highly.
