Skirting tile cutting on a Sigma

Just had a load of 60 x 30 150mm skirting to cut (and its probably me) and can only say it is the first down side to my Sigma, but can not seem to get a exact match using the Swivel measurement bar along with the square attachment. I have had to mark every tile to get straight matching cut as each tile i tried to cut in half using the guide an square seem to differ. Any suggestions or are you finding the same.

Not had that problem myself cutting skirts.

Are you using the guard site cut or the opposite , could be tile sizing.

If not then is the guard moving ?

You could buy a Rubi:sofahide:

Dave agree with comments, just have had to mark top and bottom of each tile to get a half cut which was good. Maybe the measuring guard out slightly is the only thing i could put it down to as the 0 point is not 100% precise though kept try to adjust slightly but it could also be as the square is only short there could be slight movement when scribing as I have the push version hence the post to see if anyone has had the same.

Pete actually considered buy a ts60plus as like the fixed squareness of the measuring bar but can not afford another cutter purely based on skirting tiles

Dave when you say square guard side are you saying RHS or LHS when looking down at the cutter with the measuring guide nearest to you as it is a push scribe 3CM. I have had the square on the RHS. This could be where i am going wrong?

Rhs for me as well ,

Jeff, you need to calibrate your sigma if its new, they don't come exactly square. There is a bolt on left (Alan key) for fine calibration, once set to square in the 90 deg position then lock in place

They should all come fully calibrated and not really had any that are out of line?. Simple fix though as above what charlie said.

Never had any of mine new ones need calibrating although I have checked and when I refurbed 2 of mine i did reset them.
