Skates?

1. She is a tile installer and not a tiler.
2. Why would a company produce, edit and promote a video which plainly shows that 100% contact with the floor is not being made,ie voids under the tiles

Now having actually watched the video 😀 can't agree more, from an instructional point of view, it's poor, very poor.
However, (even tho I know I'm biting! 🙄)
I'm fairly certain, that wasn't the point of the original post.
More the virtues of the product being advertised, which for anyone who has been a member on here for more than a dog watch knows, has been the cause of many a lively debate! 🙂
Hence my comment on picking a fight haha
Not as hotly contested as 'Rubi versus Sigma', but up there with the best of them.
Hope that clarifies things for u @Martino 😉

Just wondered of anyone on here uses a skate like this and how beneficial actually are they?.....also those spacers take a lot of skill away from the tiler... Anyone can bang them down and use those spacers!

Oh dear...... don't tell @antonio you said that.

Whoops!

Notice he uses these on a lot of jobs. But he's certainly no DIYer. Someone said on a previous post they won't level you're floor but can be used to eliminate lips. And besides, the skill of the pro tiler doesn't stop at whether a floor is lip free. Thats only a mere 10% of what he/she can do.

I'm tired of repeating what I think. Levelers are for apprentices. not for professional tiler.
antonio is an apprentice. and uses leveling

What an absolute palava that is using those things!!!.....time consuming and just no need in my opinion......and I bet they ain't cheap......what a game that is:smirk:......I certainly won't be using them unless a client insists, is paying for them and I'm on a good day rate :grinning::thumbsup:

Already tried?

Why a would a pro tiler need them unless his tiling is what we used to call bad tilers work - ( lip city! ).....then possibly use of your that bad you can't see or feel any lips

Those roller seats look good for large commercial flooring tho .....think they do one with a specially made bicycle seat at Tradetiler :bike:.....

words words . always words.
You first try. After speak. 🙂
I try all the novelties. (Little news. Antonio uses of 2011).
I decide if it is ok. or not.
sorry and kiss 😉

As for those laser thingamajigs that the diyers use, real tilers use water levels. Why use spacers or wedges when tiles come with free spacing accessories, the box they come in!!

Anything that can help get any job done easier, faster or help get a better job done is fine with me.
