can some one give me some info, I need a new cutter soon and I know you all bum sigma cutters, having watched videos on YouTube, the main 4,points I can see that I'm not sure on are, scoring towards yourself, having to flip down the arm to break the tile, can't see the point of contact between blade and tile, no box!
Rubi doesnt have any of those problems!

I'd just like to say that I've never "bummed" mine. It's better for cutting porcelain tiles IMHO!

Impressive cuts, I'm using 600x600 porcelain today, I have a row of cuts to the ceiling that need 1inch taking off, the Rubi has no chance, I've had to cut them with the grinder. Quite a difference really!

Now that's impressive I think I need to adjust my sigma coz I've never managed to to snap 10mm cuts off like that ... rite fellas I need some tips have I got the rail to close to the cutting bed ?

Anybody tried a battipav

I, and the next time around, I think to buy a BATTIPAV.
system equals sigma, only lighter.
the pros and cons, you can read in my trend BATTIPAV.

1. Scoring towards yourself is easy to get use to, but optional.
2. There are two other handle designs that you don't have to flip the handle with.
3. You can in fact see the point of contact between the wheel and tile.
4. You can also get a box .
In the link below have a look at a Sigma 3C3M, which you can get a 24AE handle for as well and also the carry case is art no:43
The 24AE handle is a pull towards you handle which is good for fast cuts.
The 3C3M machine has a push away from you handle with a drop down breaker with a simple action, for breaking the hardest of tiles ( which would laugh at a Rubi)
There is also a Klick Klock handle that you push away then flip the handle to break the tiles, Antonio's preferred choice.
They are all very easy to use and go through tiles very easily, a Rubi is ok for smaller formats and easy cuts, but simply don't compare to a Sigma. It would be the best money you'll have spent in your tiling career

Cheapest I can see is £288 for the 72.5 max model, then £53 for a box. Any better about? There is no ctd near me and I am not registered there.

You don't need a case for a Sigma, they are robust machines.

I have a combo and the cutter would take up to much space without the box so I can stack stuff up nice and neat

Oh I didn't know that.
The cutters moved too much when it was sat on the box.
I like everything nice & neat in my van & ive never needed a box for any of my Sigmas..

I find the 1200 sigma much easier to move around with the bar removed.
It weighs as much as the actual machine almost. Having it in a box would not help, and it certainly doesn't need one.
If you're stacking boxes on boxes then I spose it's a necessity..
Unless it's the one on top.

Well, I've never used a sigma but the majority on here can't be wrong so gonna get I've ordered up on Friday
