Has anybody used silicone carbide discs on floor polishing machines to remove laitence from anhydrate screeds .

Use discs made of silicon carbide, for scratching marbles or smooth substrates. I also used discs of tungsten carbide, last much longer, but I prefer silicon carbide.

Just wondered how effective they are and whether I should get some to go on my polisher

Thanks . I take it you mean silicone carbide discs attached to polisher . If so how many metres do they last for

got mine on ebay pretty cheap too

I've only used them on a low speed, very heavy floor prep machine. 60 grit is perfect.
