Problems with bal micromax grout

I have used bal micromax floor and wall grout which was given to me by tops tiles however it looks grey not white and it is very sandy in texture which looks terrible has anyone ekes had this problem

I have not used it in that colour... Some sanded grouts do not dry bright white due to grain size but normally BAL grouts are very white...

Any pics..?

Also clean water was used for mixing, silly question but has been done before by some..

It has a really high sand content, so doesn't look as white as the BAL non-sanded grouts. Not so much a problem on any of the other colours in the range but, does make white look a bit dirty. That said, I used it for the first time last month and it still looked white, just not bright white. Is there any chance it got contaminated somehow? What tiles were they? Did you use grey adhesive?

Yes all clean water and equipment used, topps tiles have suggested its a fitting problem . I didn't ask for that grout when the tiles were bought . I asked them just to supply me the stuff for to do the job

The adhesive used is what topps supplied me with as we tried the bal ready mixed and it kept falling from the walls. Don't know how the grout could get contaminated we used all new tools etc

How long after tiling did you grout? Is there any chance the adhesive hadn't fully cured and the greyness in the grout is moisture from the adhesive still drying out? What size are the tiles you fitted?

Yes ready mixed so we took the second bucket back got a refund and they gave me some powdered adhesive instead.

We grouted a week later. The wall tiles are I think 12inches by 6
