Porcelain tile instead of skirting board

Not sure how to do this but a customer whose floor I am laying wants me to cut tiles to form a skirting around the bathroom floor about 40mm high, the tiles are large high gloss black porcelain, my concern is what the cut edge will look like if it looks rough like a ceramic tile can then I will only get two pieces from each tile with a michined edge, any ideas before I advise the customer. Regards.
 
I personally prefer them bigger than 40m....just cut 2 off as you say this will give a smooth edge .....
 
Thanks mate now that was a fast service, I thought as much but didn't want to wrongly advise the customer. Appreciated:thumbsup:
 
Done this on a few jobs and I only use two cuts from each tile, just explain to the customer that there will be more waste therefore they will need extra tiles.
