polished porcelain tiles stained with grout dye

Hi, I have just had my bathroom tiled with light grey and charcoal grey polished porcelain tiles. The charcoal grey tiles have been grouted with BAL charcoal grout. Although all of the tiles have been sealed, the light grey tiles adjacent to the charcoal grey tiles have picked up stains from the charcoal grout. The staining is below the surface and so I guess is due to the dye. Any ideas for how to remove?

They're from BuildBase (but you can get them from Walls and Floors and BandQ special order, I think). They're manufactured by Niro Granite and they're called Regal.

OK...Cath looks like a riven finish tile.....you more than likely have grout residue clogged in the open pores of the tile surface....

Try a grout residue remover....

Were the tiles sealed or not..?

Apparently they were - not well enough it seems!

Try the grout haze/residue remover first...and then report back...

Hi Dave

I've now tried the grout film remover (I used the HG one) but unfortunately it made no impact on the stains. I'm guessing its the black pigment in the charcoal grout that has worked its way into the tiles. Any ideas for a plan B?
