It's just the same.
A 2 year old van might be £10,000 plus vat = £12,000
Or from somebody who isn't vat registered would be selling the van at £12,000 .
It's just better if your registered to buy it off somebody who is registered, so you get a vat invoice and claim it back.
Nobody's making any money out of it.
