Good morning chaps/ladies, Am keen to get into good habits and best practices - whats the opinion of you experienced guys on 3 way mitres ? Are they worth the 'self induced stress' ? Have practiced on Plastic trim and looks o.k., but have a job tomorrow with metal trim. Comments appreciated

Hi Ali, To be perfectly honest mate, I don't have the skills and experience to mitre the tiles. ( and the customer has spec'd and supplied the trim) To you guys its a "standard kitchen splashback", but there is a window slap bang middle of it.

got to be carefull with the ends where they meet, can be lethal, ask you customer if they would like the corner pieces that you can get if not a nice neat mitre it is

I think you would get more satisfaction from it than the customer but sometimes its just not worth the stress of trying to get them right. Id go for corners like brian

I am happy to 3 way any trim. Really not an issue. Preformed saves time and gives a smoother finish though

On metal sq edge, I would 2 way mitre around the top (horizontal) then butt joint the (vertical) section at the window. File any sharp corners after grouting.
