Got a job next month needing 120 sqm of backer board and thinking of using this stuff. anybody used it?

Pros: comes 8x4 sheets, cheaper than marmox, pci etc + (using alot less jointing tape),

Cons: lack of reviews

Link : Placocem

It is cheap because it can only hold up to 30kg per sqr mtr, that is less than plaster board..🙂

32kg per sqm same as plasterboard, only fitting 9mm thick ceramics to board

Loads with a weight of up to 30 kg can be attached directly to the panels using expansion bolts or cavity fixings providing that they are at least 400mm apart.

The Data sheet says 32kg ???? so which is correct?

Yes but if you click that link you supplied its says "Loads with a weight of up to 30 kg can be attached directly to the panels using expansion bolts or cavity fixings providing that they are at least 400mm apart."

says 32kg when you download data sheet, weight issue aside what do you think of it?

should i just stick to tried and tested boards?
