Afternoon all,

I'm looking for a pro tiler to fit some stone tiles to our chimney breast at our house 20 mins south of Maidstone.

  • It's around 3.5m2 of tiling in total, across the front of the breast and the returns. The stove recess doesn't need tiling.
  • The tiles are 600 x 150 and 8-18mm thick.
  • We need a heat-resistant adhesive, particularly on the two pillars, because of the stove going in the recess. I can supply this from Vitcas or Palace if required.
  • The substrate is pretty good. The chimney brickwork was very uneven, so I used heat-resistant dot & dab adhesive to stick BAL boards to the chimney, then screwed these in to the brickwork so they're not going anywhere. It's now much more level, though there are some small lips between the boards and sections where the screws sit proud by a mm or 2, which will need to be ironed out with the tile adhesive.
  • There's no need for grouting and no need for mitreing, as the external corners can be butt jointed.

Is anybody available for a day in the next couple of weeks to take this on?

Thanks a lot.
