Insurance Job Quotation.. Need Some Advise Please

Hello All

I've been asked to quote for a bathroom, its a insurance job.
What is the difference in the way i quote ?? I have to rip out make good get the plumber and electrician in ect
Am i right in thinking i will need to budget for tiles,shower screen and tray plasterboard the lot

Like for like as near as possible but many parts are upgraded over a time and price increases are inevitable....punters tend to try and push their luck on these sort of jobs though.

My advice - don't even attempt to deal with the insurance Co. Tell your customer to get a settlement from them and then deal with the customer direct. Offer advice and guidance, even quotes for the insurer but you'll be in for a world of pain if they are the ones paying.

90 days and less 20% normally. They'll deduct vat even if you're not reg'd.
Some guys get on well with insurers but not me! I won't do it.

I've done quotes for insurance which I send to customer who then in turn inform insurance company, my contract is with the client....client pays me then gets money off the insurance company or that's how it used to be done.

Under a certain amount the insurance company's just pay, £20,000 they might just ask questions😀
